Area search exam
Korneuburg, Austria, 4th til 6th of May 2007 |
This was the last qualification for World Championship. Competition in Zagreb was great, in Budapest not so and in Korneuburg was succesfull again... |
 With tha same team I went to Korneuburg near Wienna.
Since most of us hade to be on our regular daily jobs, we asked the organizer if we could be in weekend at the exam and the answer was positive. So, we came in Korneuburg at Friday, slept in City Hotel and then we had all disciplines in Saturday.
We started early in the morning with search work. |
 I was the last from our team. Wood was very similar to wood from Zagrebs Competition: middle dense, airy and October. Katja Skulj from Slovenia were judging. I'm very satisfied with Gunnas searching: she was directable, motivated, fast and, which is is most important, she found all 3 figurants much before the max. time - in about 9 minutes. We earned 197/200 points. Those 3 we lost at first barking which had few breaks.

 Opposite to Budapest, the obedience was more good even we have stuff to do. Sending with lying down was too short, in gruoup of people Gunna was too far from me... We got 44/48 points.
At Dexterity, Gunna lying down too early in tunnel, I forgot to stop before the unpleasant material, I forgot to call you in basic position immidiately at handling over the dog. Also, I had one double command at directability which is not tippical for Gunna so it was probably my wrong signals to her. We got 48/50 points. Obedience and dexterity were judged by Gherd Thanner (Austria).
Totally, Gunna and me had 3rd best results in this exam.
First results, as in Zagreb, had Ana and Mona. Congratulations!
