In all our preparations for the 14th World Championship of Rescue Dogs in Samobor, with my friend Ana Viller and her Mona, Gunna i me participated in area search exam in Eggendorf, Austria at 1st of June 2008.
By lot of kindness, organizer of exam, we could do all exam in one day (we couldn't take more days from our usual works). In spite of the fact that all disciplines in one day are more difficult then in few days, our results were very good.
Obedience and dexterity were at Theresienfeld, ground for rescue dogs for disaster work. The day was vera hot, dogs were working on hot sun and once more was very important to have a dog in good physical condition.
Area for searching deciduous forest with good passable, on few spots with thorny bushes. All in all, the forest wasn't so hard. For our borders who like to run, it was perfect :-)
The judge for obedience and dexterity was Sirpa Pellikka from Finland and judge for searching was Vilém Babička from Czech Republic.
I wasn't satisifed with Gunnas obedience. She was afradi of something and all excercises were half-way done. So, also the points were showing that: 37 from 50 possible. Dexterity was pretty good: she got 44/50 points. Lotz of points were lost in tunnel: she is very smart dog and has an excelent memory. In spite of the fact that I have never lyed her down after the tunnel at training, she remembered all exams and learned that after the tunnel goes lying down. So, she lyed down :-)
Searching was excelent and showed all her best sides: she got 193/200 points. We lost 7 points in barking to one figurant because she was exhausted.
So, totally resulat was 274/300.
