SAR
action,
Golubovec, 18th of June 2004 |
|
The day before search action,
well known voice of Darko Baksa from GSS "Zagreb"
informed us about the events which will follow
the next day. Midel age woman was missing...
|
Our
team was (alphabetical order): Ana Viller
with Border Collie Mona, Ead Becirevic
with Golden Retriever Gala, Petra Covic
with Golden Retriever Koni, Tibor Lugar
with Golden Retriever Mav and me
with Gunna.
|
Plan
was, with GSS "Varazdin" and GSS "Zagreb",
to search all suspected surroundings and area
arround the house of missing person.
|
Some
researches in working dogs indicated that small
amount of food before difficult tasks to dogs,
are more then welcome. In this case, there is
also a physical strain to a SAR dog. You never
know how much time and energy will be spent in
action. |
We
searched in shooters form which was difficult
from time to time 'cause of type of ground
and deep gullies. That was the reason of few
short breaks.
|
In
such actions, all searchers must pay attention
on theirs energy level. Short breaks are useful
because every searcher is too precious link
of chain that he could allow himself and to
others, total exhaustion: action must be concentrated to
only one person - missing one.
|
The
missing wasn't found in spite of our efforts
and searching quality. Dogs was ver active
and did the job with all their hearts.
|
I
know that dogs do all that for toy or food
but, the fact that my dog will do the job
even when he is knocked-up or been hurt
and in spite of all that I see a tiny little
star in his eye, makes my heart so gentle
and so proud...
